WELCOME TO MZIMA
For centuries, these islands were shaped by the seasonal monsoon winds, drawing traders, sailors and travellers from Africa, Arabia, Persia and India. Their influences formed the rich Swahili culture of the coast, and the inspiration behind Mzima is woven from this heritage, deeply rooted in the effortless charm and quiet rhythm of Zanzibar.
Thoughtfully designed to feel more like a home than a hotel, Mzima brings together hand-crafted details, antique furniture, old dhow timber and treasured objects gathered over time, creating a place of comfort, warmth and authenticity.
The result is a retreat that feels layered, personal and lived in, where craftsmanship, heritage and island comfort come together naturally.
